The Universal Pole Bracket (UPB)—also known as the Communications Pole Bracket (CPB) or ADSS Cable Bracket—is a multi-purpose aluminum alloy fitting designed for securing ADSS fiber optic cables, FTTH drop cables, and Low-Voltage Aerial Bundled Cables (LV-ABC) to utility poles.

Manufactured from high-strength, corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy, the UPB bracket delivers excellent mechanical performance, structural stability, and extended service life in harsh outdoor environments. Its universal design allows it to function as an anchor bracket, stay bracket, or drop wire bracket, reducing the need for multiple hardware types and simplifying network deployment.

The UPB fully complies with NFC 33-040, NFC 33-041, and EN 50483 standards, ensuring compatibility with international power and telecommunication systems.

    • Precision casting for consistent dimensions and high load capacity

  • Surface Finish:

    • Natural aluminum finish

    • Optional protective coatings available

    • Universal mounting slots compatible with clamps and accessories

Design & Function

The UPB Bracket is a versatile link fitting designed to provide strong, stable support for fiber optic and power distribution cables.
It can be mounted in two ways:

  1. Using Steel Bands:
Installed on any type of pole—drilled or undrilled—using two 20×0.7 mm stainless steel bands (SB207) with buckles (B20). Typically, two 1-meter bands are used per bracket.

  2. Using Bolts:
If the pole is pre-drilled (typically wooden poles), the bracket can be fixed using an M14 or M16 bolt, with a bolt length at least equal to the pole diameter + 50 mm (bracket thickness).

The UPB’s grooved surface prevents strap slippage and ensures a firm grip during high wind or cable tension. Its universal geometry reduces the need for multiple bracket types, simplifying field installation and inventory management.

Installation Guide

The UPB bracket can be installed using steel bands or bolts, offering maximum flexibility in the field.

Option 1: Installation Using Stainless-Steel Bands

  1. Position the bracket on the pole (wooden, metal, or concrete).

  2. Use two stainless-steel bands (20 × 0.7 mm, SB207) with B20 buckles.

  3. Typically, two 1-meter bands are used per bracket.

  4. Tighten bands evenly; the grooved surface prevents slipping.

Option 2: Installation Using Bolts

  1. Applicable for pre-drilled poles (commonly wooden poles).

  2. Fix the bracket using an M14 or M16 bolt.

  3. Bolt length should be pole diameter + 50 mm (minimum).

  4. Secure firmly to ensure proper load transfer.

No special tools are required beyond standard banding or bolting equipment.
