…ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) fiber optic cable features a non-metallic, loose-tube design. Engineers build it specifically for aerial installation alongside high-voltage power lines. Because it contains zero metal, this cable completely eliminates lightning attraction and electrical corrosion.
Furthermore, it utilizes Grade A optical fiber cores. These premium cores deliver optimized attenuation and precise geometry, ensuring exceptionally low splicing loss during deployment.
To maintain network stability across large spans, the internal structure relies on two critical non-metallic materials:
1. Central Strength Member: FRP Rod
Material: Fiber-Reinforced Plastic.
Position: Located at the exact geometric center.
Function: It provides vital axial rigidity. When facing thermal expansion, wind vibrations, or heavy ice loading, the FRP rod prevents cable contraction to protect internal fibers.
2. Tensile Reinforcement: Aramid Yarn
Material: High-strength aramid fiber (Kevlar).
Position: Spirally wound around the inner sheath.
Function: This layer serves as the primary load-bearing component. It delivers the extreme tensile strength needed to support the cable's weight across hundreds of meters.
Key Features:
-
Versatile Installation: Ideal for telecommunication applications on power distribution and high-voltage transmission lines, supporting mini-spans or self-supporting aerial installations.
-
Dual Jacket Options for High Voltage:
-
Anti-Tracking (AT) Outer Jacket: Engineered for high-voltage environments (》 35kV), featuring excellent tracking resistance with a maximum inductive voltage of up to 25kV at the operating point.
-
HDPE Outer Jacket: Optimized for standard voltage environments (《 35kV).
-
-
Advanced Core Structure: Features gel-filled buffer tubes with S-Z stranding to ensure superior water-blocking and fiber protection.
-
Live-Line Installation: Can be safely installed without shutting off power (live-line operation), minimizing downtime.
-
Optimized Mechanical Load: Lightweight and small-diameter design significantly reduces structural loads caused by ice, wind, towers, and backprops.
-
Robust Performance: Delivers exceptional mechanical tensile strength and stable temperature performance under harsh environmental conditions.
-
Long Lifecycle: Designed with a premium service life of over 30 years.
In short: With its lightweight, flame-retardant, and highly flexible dry-core structure, ADSS cable ensures easy installation and maximum long-distance reliability.
