Telexc Helical Tension Clamps are designed for secure dead-end termination of OPGW and ADSS cables in overhead power and communication networks. The system combines preformed dead-end grips with structural reinforcing armor rods to provide effective load transfer while protecting the cable from mechanical damage.

The specially designed armor rods provide cushioning and stress distribution, ensuring that no undue stress is applied to the OPGW or ADSS cable. This design significantly enhances cable system reliability and ensures long service life under continuous tensile and environmental loads.

Helical Tension Sets are mainly used for cables with Rated Tensile Strength (RTS) up to 160 kN, installed on terminal poles/towers, tension poles, corner poles/, and continuation structures.

    Made from aluminum-clad steel wire with internal abrasive coating. The helical structure provides high gripping strength while reducing side pressure and eliminating point loading.

Installation Guide

  1. Identify the color code on the preformed rods and match it with the cable marking.
  1. Install the armor rods first to reinforce and protect the cable.

  2. Insert the thimble into the bend of the preformed dead-end grip.

  3. Wrap the short leg of the dead-end grip first, followed by the long leg.

  4. Continue wrapping manually until the grip is fully seated on the cable.

  5. Verify correct installation through visual inspection.

  6. No special tools or training are required.
