The Preformed Helical Single Suspension Set for OPGW is designed for suspending and supporting Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) on straight-line towers and poles. It effectively transfers axial loads while uniformly distributing radial pressure along the cable, preventing stress concentration and excessive bending.
Using double-layer preformed helical armor rods with elastomer protection, the suspension set significantly reduces static pressure and dynamic stress caused by aeolian vibration. This design enhances fatigue resistance, protects the optical fibers, and extends the operational life of the OPGW cable.
The gripping strength of the suspension set exceeds 15–20% of the rated tensile strength of the cable, ensuring secure mechanical performance without damaging the cable structure.

Installation Guide

Clean the OPGW cable surface at the suspension location
